Hey everyone! It’s me, Dana, and I’m blogging! There’s been a lot going on in my world, and the most exciting news is, of course, my son. He’s a yummy baby and I love him desperately.
Like any new mom, I’m working hard to get back into shape, and there are times when I find myself almost going to a place I call negative body banter—it’s the self-confidence-sinking mental chatter many of us inflict upon ourselves when we’re down on our bodies, our beauty, or when we compare ourselves negatively to others. It’s something I’ve worked on in my life, and helping other women identify negative body banter and offering the tools to get past it, is a big mission of mine.
You’re going to hear a lot about this in my blogs. I want to show women how to increase their sexy self confidence…the inner spark we all have that can dim for various reasons, in various times of life.
I’d like to think it’s the 3 a.m. feedings and lack of sleep that’s taking away some of my typically positive resolve, so I’m not overly worried. I’ve always been curvy and I like myself that way, and I know for sure that working out will get me back to where I want to be. There’s nothing like being drenched in sweat…it makes me feel amped up, full of life and totally in tune with my sexy self.
As soon as my little man naps, I’m going to hit up my home gym (yes I have one, I’m lucky!) and pop in my favorite DVD from The Firm. My new book The Official Booty Parlor Mojo Makeover: Four Weeks to a Sexier You launches January 25, and I’ll be travelling a lot, making store and TV appearances for the book tour. So help me out ladies, I need to get into my favorite clothes, stat! Send me your encouraging words—tell me your favorite DVD workouts right now—I need to stay motivated!
